Aero Bike Fit
Our aero bike fit is the key to unlocking speed. We help you optimise your riding position to help you shave time off your race.
As most triathletes and time trial riders know, improving aerodynamics is a the best way to race faster and get more out of your ride. Reducing the impact that wind resistance has, it also saves you energy and you can ride faster for the same effort.

Just how important are aerodynamics?
Understanding your body dynamics during a bike fit is key to achieving an optimal position. Every cyclist’s needs are unique, and a tailored approach is essential.
Two riders pedal at the same watts. The rider with good positioning can save 2-8 min over an 18-mile ride. They can save up to an hour in an Ironman compared to a rider with bad bike fit. Some experts say aerodynamics can matter even if you are moving at just 12-14 mph. Naturally, the faster you are, the more aerodynamics factor into the equation.
About 85% of your power when riding is used to overcome air resistance. Another 10% is used to overcome rolling resistance. The remaining 5% is for overcoming drivetrain friction. Fortunately, we can find “free” speed when it comes to aerodynamics and improvement of your position on the bike.

Why you should optimize your saddle position
It is astonishing how many riders accept “pain” as part of cycling. An incorrect saddle position can lead to serious health problems. A saddle set too high can cause discomfort in the thighs. It can also strain the back. The pelvis tilts too much sideways to reach the pedals. Conversely, a saddle set too low tires the leg muscles faster and can lead to joint pain or back problems.
Many cyclists consider some degree of discomfort normal when riding. Nonetheless, an improper saddle position can result in severe health issues. If the saddle is too high, it can cause thigh discomfort and back strain due to excessive pelvic tilting. Conversely, a saddle set too low can quickly fatigue the leg muscles and cause joint or back pain.
Before finalizing your saddle position, consider experimenting with minor adjustments to guarantee peak comfort while riding. Remember that small tweaks can make a significant difference in your cycling experience.
