Regular bike servicing will keep your bike running smoothly, spotting small problems before they become big ones. We have a full range of bike servicing options, from a simple service to a full strip down and rebuild. Prior to any service we can carry out inspection of your bike, to assess what work needs to be done, and advise on which service option would be best for you.
Tips to keep your bike running smoothly between services
Keep your bike clean, and lubricate chain and moving parts.
Check your bike, for example complete an M check, starting at the back wheel, check the tyre for cuts, and make sure the tyres are correctly inflated, check to make sure quick release mechanisms, bolts and through axles are secure, check brakes aren’t loose. Then check seat and seatpost are secure, along with checking derailleurs and chainset, then check steering bolts are secure and there is no play.
Bike Servicing Pricing
Bike Servicing starts from £75 for a basic tuneup and adjustment, we also offer more detailed servicing options including full strip down and rebuild if required. Please contact us for more information on our service options.
Bike Servicing FAQ
Do you service and repair E-Bikes?
Yes. However we will only service and repair bikes from reputable brands, please call us to find out if your electric bike is on our list of e-bike positive approved electric bikes. We are an E-Bike Positive bike shop you can find out more about how being an E-Bike Positive Retailer benefits you here.
Do you service and repair mountain bikes?
Although mountain bikes are not our speciality, we can service and repair them, however because this is not our area of expertise, we often outsource certain repairs and servicing work to third party companies, as a result our turnaround times can be slower compared to mountain bike specialists.
How long does a service or repair take?
A question we often get asked, and is very difficult to answer! We aim where possible to turnaround basic repairs and servicing around in a day, however this can be longer if the job is not as straightforward as we anticipated, or specialist parts are required. When you bring your bike in for a service for repair, we will give you an estimate of cost and time to complete, however during busy periods or due to situations out of control this could be longer.
How far in advance are you booked up for bike servicing?
It largely depends on the time of year, during our peak season (May to September) it has been as much as 8 weeks! However during quieter parts of the year it is 2 weeks. We are always very busy, and we recommend that you book your bike in sooner, and well ahead of any event, holiday or competition.
