At Grand Tor Cycling this is exactly what we are about.
Grand Tor Cycling was established in 2020. Before that we were on the other side of the fence. We were customers, just like you. We had visited various cycling shops, from bricks and mortar shops, independent workshops, big online retailers, to online marketplaces.
Our experience was varied to say the least!
We are focused purely on providing you with a great service, and the best experience possible. Where you get the best possible advice. We won’t try to sell you something you don’t need. We also won’t sell you something that is not suitable for the cycling you do.
We have some of the best cycling brands available, If you are looking for a performance road or gravel bike, then our range of bikes from Wilier, Basso and Lapierre have a great choice, we can ensure that you ride away with the perfect bike for your cycling needs.
If you are looking for something a bit different, but every bit special, then our handmade Daccordi bicycles are worthy of your attention. You can choose from steel, aluminium, titanium and carbon fibre. All of their bikes are precision hand crafted for you. That way you get a bike that rides the way you like it, but will last for many years and always be a joy to ride.
But we don’t just focus on road and gravel bikes!
Our range of electric bikes from Raleigh, Haibike, Lapierre, Basso and MBM, are available for you to test ride. We have everything from commuting, leisure, trekking, mountain, gravel and adventure. Our expert friendly staff will guide you through the benefits of each e-bike model, so you can be certain that any electric bike you buy from us will give you many hours of enjoyable cycling.

We don’t stock Pinarello, Merida, Cannondale, Colnago, Ridley, Cervelo, Trek, or Specialized bikes, for a number of reasons. However we believe that we offer bike brands which are better than some of the biggest names out there. Don’t believe us? Why not book a test ride, and discover why we chose Basso, Wilier, Daccordi and Lapierre bikes. We ride what we sell, and we have years of knowledge in understanding what it takes to create the best bikes. It is easy for big brands to market their products as the next best thing, but our experience tells us that our chosen brands put more effort into producing brilliant bikes, and let the bikes do the talking instead of spending loads on marketing.
We have extensively tested products. We are confident they will give you many miles of reliable service. After all, enjoying the ride is the most important thing to you and us.

Frequently asked questions.
Why are you open from 10 am to 3 pm from Tuesday to Friday? Why are you open from 9 am until 1 pm on a Saturday?
Our shop is open during these times. Outside of these hours you can often find us in the workshop, servicing bikes. We also carry out bike fitting with customers outside of these hours. You’d be surprised to learn we often start working at 6 am. On some days, we don’t finish until 10 pm! If you can’t visit us during our shop opening hours, please contact us. We are happy to arrange a visit outside of these hours.

Ed
I’ve loved being on two wheels for as long as I can remember. Saying that I’m a cycling obsessive would be an understatement!
Since my first bike race at age twelve, I have loved to ride. I’ve been fortunate enough to compete in some amazing events. These include road racing, track and time trials, duathlons, and triathlons.
I’m originally from a retail and customer experience background, where the customer comes first, and you are my absolute priority.
I qualified as a bike fitter in 2021. I continue to develop my skills. I was tutored by one of the most renowned and highly regarded bike fitters in the world.
Moreover, I’m a qualified, certified bike mechanic. I set myself very high standards. You can rest assured that your bike will give you many miles of reliable cycling.

Without Sarah, the business would not have developed the way it has! She encouraged me to take the leap, and follow my passion.
‘Having supported Ed during his racing days, and obsession with cycling, it has certainly rubbed off on me! I’m an occasional leisure cyclist, and mostly enjoy riding off road away from the traffic’.
Sarah is here to help you in any way she can. She often helps to develop our brands and marketing. She keeps all the wheels turning and supports me. Having her around to share a different perspective also ensures, we are understanding your needs, and providing the right cycling products, and advice and assistance that you want.
