Restoration of a ProLite Gavia Bike

This came in as a frame and fork in a raw aluminium finish.  The seasons had taken their toll on the frames and it was in need of renovation.

The frame was hand stripped of lacquer, and any areas of corrosion were corrected, and treated.
The client had an idea of paint finish and styling, and wanted to have something that reflected their personality.
They chose an automotive custom paint by House of Kolor, who are renowned in the custom car industry.  The frame was prepped, and the Japanese graphics were applied to the raw aluminium and carbon. Restoration of Prolite Road bike with one off decals and House of Kolor Tangelo Pearl Paint
The frame was then painted with House of Kolor Tangelo Pearl, it has a real pop and is stunning in the sunlight.  We then lacquered the frame, and baked overnight to harden the paint, for added durability.

The Client was a fan of Fizik and Hunt, so Fizik Cyrano bars, stem and seatpost were the order of the day along with a Fizik Antares saddle.  The Wheels were Hunt Carbon Aero Race 50s with oil slick spokes which seemed to compliment the paint finish.

The groupset of choice was a Shimano Ultegra 11 speed mechanical rim brake groupset, which works as well, and means you never run out of charge, and is simple and easy to maintain.

The client was really happy with the result, and we are so pleased that the build came out so well.
