Introducing the new Palta, a tribute to the deep connection between Basso and its territory, dedicated to the Gravel World Championships that will take place in our homeland.
Beauty, history, and art inspire our creation, proudly emphasizing the places where we were born and raised. In this way, we wanted to create a bicycle that expresses this connection and its determination to strengthen itself through gravel riding.
Unveiled for the first time at the Italian Bike Festival, the International Bicycle Show held at the Misano World Circuit, it will be showcased at all the other European fairs in the following months
A livery that combines the cultural heritage of a territory with sporting passion
A special livery for Palta’s Gravel Race model. A celebratory color scheme that incorporates the colors of the Iris – which symbolize the World Championships – and blends them with one of the most evocative materials from the cultural heritage of the Veneto region: marble.
As a tribute to the sculptures of Antonio Canova and Palladian architecture, the glossy black and white livery has been given a marble effect.
A unique bicycle that strengthens the bond between the region and the sport we love, contributing to the growth of the discipline.

Geometry
Minor changes were made to the extremely versatile Palta geometry.
Sloping top tube
Increased sloping top tube to allow more seatpost exposure and flex leading to increased comfort.
Headtube
Taller headtube for less spacers and more comfort. But we didn’t forget about the racers… Riders will have the possibility to mount the stem flush with the head tube for lower stack. #SlamThatStem
Fork
The unique geometry of the advanced fork stays confer both a more precise handling as well as vibration dampening to the ride quality.
Air Flow
Larger spacing between tire and fork allows for better air flow and increased clearance.
Design
The design of the Palta II follows the philosophy of maintaining the overwhelmingly long list of positive elements from the first version and improving, where possibile.
Tire clearance
Tire clearance up to 45 mm tires with 700c wheels. NOTE: Indicated tire clearance is guaranteed with gravel groupsets. Road bike groupsets follow manufacturer suggested clearance.
Bags & Bottles
Top tube hidden bolts to accomodate compatible bags. 3 different bottle cage positons: 2 on the downtube and 1 on the seat tube.
Protection & Compatibility
The downtube also feautures a plastic protection that can be fitted when riding on rought gravel. Palta is compatible with both 2x and 1x electronic and mechanical gropsets, both gravel and road (up to 52-36 chain rings).
3B Clamp System Gen 2
A totally hidden fixing solution that is invisible on the frame, intertwining technological and aesthetic innovation.
The result is a lightweight, invisible and strong integrated system with three screws, which has been further implemented through the vulcanization of the steel plank. This Basso solution gives the 3B system an anti-vibration function, which improves the riding experience by elevating comfort on uneven and bumpy surfaces.
Basso Explorer Thru Axle Kit
The Basso Explorer thru axle kit is composed by a front and rear axle with specific integrated cycling tools. In this way you will always carry with you the neccessary tools to keep on riding in every situation.

Basso Carbon Gravel handlebar
Developed from the ground up taking off road comfort as the main focus, we reduced the section of the handlebar to integrate a 4.5 mm thickness bar tape and studied ergonomics in all hands positions, from the tops to the drops.

The Palta is compatible with the Levita Integrated handlebar by Basso. Weighing just 330g (110×420 mm, medium), this cockpit adds unmatched stiffness and lightness to your ride.
